What do you do when your Windows Operating System fails to start, or
your valuable data suddenly disappears following a system crash.
Do you have a "Disaster Recovery Plan?"
We seem to take for granted that our computer systems will run and
run, but disaster can strike at anytime, and in many cases we are
not prepared for the consequences of the resulting losses associated
with such system failures. However, a simple backup regime could
save you from all the heartache of lost data, business time and in
some cases lost revenue.
The majority of computer systems, both domestic and business have
some kind of recording device installed that will allow data to be
transferred to either a CD or DVD-ROM disk. Other backup
options include the use of USB Pen Drives and External Hard Drive
Units for the domestic user, and Network Attached Storage and Server
Systems for the larger business user.
|
After having failed to back-up your data, you are then faced with a
hard drive failure, leaving you with no simple method of accessing
the data, that is more than likely still intact on the defective
drive. Data recovery services can be very expensive, however,
we at Computech 2000 will do all that we can to recover as much data
as is possible from any defective drive. Using specialised
software and tried and tested techniques, we already have a high
success rate in achieving data recovery for many of our customers.
However, should we FAIL to recover ANY data we will NOT charge a fee
for the attempt.

IMAGING
"Imaging" refers to the process of creating an electronic photograph
of the contents of a computer's hard drive. Normally, this
comprises of the Windows installation and any software programs that
have been installed. If the computer should fail, the
existence of the image will allow a user to restore the system back
to a factory default state. It makes the restoration of a
damaged Windows installation far easier and in far less time than it
would if it had to be carried out from scratch. There is the
added bonus that the image also contains software programs installed
at the same time as the Windows Operating System.
Using specialised software, images can quickly be created and stored
on a network, local or DVD-ROM drive, that can be later accessed
using a dedicated BOOT disk, should the Windows Operating System
fail to start. The best time to create a system image is
during the installation of a new Windows Operating System, and
before the computer has been exposed to the Internet, which
virtually guarantees that the system will be free of viruses from
the outset. We provide new images for all computers that we
supply from new, and also for computers where we have been asked to
complete a clean installation of Windows, which allows users to
restore their machines at any time, and can be used to perform an
annual service, thereby cleaning the system of file corruption and
other inherited infections.
If Imaging is a service that may be of interest to you, please get
in touch using any of the options available on the
Contacts page.
