Customers who would like to have a complete say on what their new computer
contains, may well be interested in our custom
"Design and Build"
service. This scheme allows a customer to influence exactly how their
computer will look and perform and of course the final cost.
We will visit a potential customer at their home or office in order to
discuss and plan the design of a computer that will exactly fit the
requirements of each individual. By doing so, we are able to eliminate the
inclusion of components that are not required, and ensure that only parts
and software chosen by the customer is included in the machine's final
specification.
There will be no end of line stock items or cheap gimmicks thrown in to make
a deal look better than it probably is. Customers will get what they
pay for, which means a quality built computer system designed to last.
A 12 month Hardware warranty is included with all 'Design & Build' systems,
and of course every registered customer will receive FREE! technical
support. Further details of this service can be viewed on the
Customer Support
page.

Once the design stage is complete, we will prepare a pre-order estimate
based on a customer's requirements and submit them for approval.
When the final specification and costings has been agreed, we will proceed
to order the necessary components and software. From initial design
stage to completion we advise that it may take up to 14 days to complete the
process. However, this period can vary and is often dependent on the
availability of components at our suppliers.
All components used in the
"Design and Build"
process are carefully selected both for their cost-effective quality and
compatibility with other hardware and software materials produced by a wide
range of manufacturers. This is an important feature of the service,
as parts chosen solely because they are cheap, quite often result in early
defects developing and incompatibility issues arising with other items of
hardware.
The
"Design and Build"
service also includes the pre-installation of all required software, and
a Disaster Recovery
"image" of the final installation is created and saved to a partition
created on the hard drive. If the system fails to start at any time in
the future, using a special "Boot Disk" users can recovery the system to a
factory default state in a reasonable short space of time, without the need
to call for technical assistance.
The completed computer system will be delivered
FREE! of charge
to a customer's chosen address and setup ready for immediate use. Any
existing Internet connection
will
be configured with the new computer at no additional cost.
